The racism of “The Pursuit of Happyness”

ABOVE: Will Smith plays a man who forsakes his African heritage for a life of servitude in the white man’s world of materialism.

This is one of the most racist and offensive films ever to come out of Hollywood.

African actor Will Smith plays a man who abandons his African heritage, his family, dignity and his soul so he can be accepted as a token member of the white financial world which oppresses economic opportunity for people of color.

Among the disgusting scenes: Will Smith, running late for an appointment, meekly obey’s a white man’s command to park his car. In another scene, he grovels for a rich white man’s business at a football game and uses his son as a prop.

Even the title of the film is meant to imply that Africans cannot spell. A true irony since Africans were the first to create a written language.

Based on true story from the man Smith plays. Oh wait, you obviously don't bother to do any remote research before douching yourself with these statements you keep making.

First off, great site. I don't think I've ever been anywhere on the net that has made me laugh this much. I can't believe that you're a teacher. I'd like to know what third-rate community college you teach at so I can come there and take your class.

Second, please explain to me how Will Smith is African. Granted, he is an individual of African descent but that doesn't make him African. If I remember correctly he was born in Philadelphia, which is a city within Pennsylvania, which is a state within the United States of America which would make Will Smith (ding, ding, ding, you guessed it) a born and bred American. Not an African.I'm of Scottish descent and I don't tell everyone that I'm a Scot.

What I really think you need to do is get out of your basement and experience the world. Not everyone is a racist against black people. And not everything is some sort of a racist innuendo of the "white man's global conquest".

And, again, thanks for all the good times and laughs. I'll definitely be back if I'm have a bad day so your inane ramblings can cheer me up.

When I first started reading this blog I was extremely offended by its ignorant hate speech, and the fact that the author tries to speak for all "people of color". (I'm Asian.)

But after reading this post, I realize now that it's all a joke and I'm sort of relieved!

If this is what it takes to be racist, what about Barack Obama? You like him, don't you?

Ok buddy this, by no means is the focus of my issue with what you have written, however it has become apparent that you are incapable of understanding any concept pertaining to an intelligence level about a child. In this light, I would simply point out that the spelling of the movie title derives from a misspelling of a motto within the film and from no racial ideals whatsoever.
